Great Camaradie
The Rotary Club of Essendon had a boisterous get-together at the well patronised Reggio Calabria Club Parkville on Saturday refreshed and preparing for the new year's projects.
The food was sumptuous, the music lively with dancing all in great Italian style.
The night was an enormous success.
Bright and early in the morning off to work we went after a heady night out. There were some 2,000 ducks to number for the Great Essendon Rotary Duck Race to be held on 1 March and all hands were on deck.
The boys had the tedious job of threading the pool noodle barriers which are to keep the ducks from wandering off course. Where would we be without them.
In the end a well earned rest.
